Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is located in Tsavo West National Park approximately 35 kilometres, from Mtito Andei Gate of the National Park. The lodge is precisely situated on GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates, Latitude -2.90729 (2°54′26.232″S) and Longitude 38.06076 (38°03′38.744″E).


The lodge stays open for business throughout the year and comprises of 56 guest rooms with total bed occupancy of 112 guests. The workforce comprises of 91 staff.

Tsavo West National Park is about 7,065 Km2 in size. The park is located on south eastern Kenya, 240km from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway. It was gazetted as a National Park in 1948 in order to protect the core of the ecosystem. It is operated and managed by Kenya Wildlife Service. The park is a popular destination on account of its magnificent scenery, Mzima Springs, rich and varied wildlife, rhino reserve, rock climbing potential and guided walks along the Tsavo River. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges. Major wildlife attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, and Buffalos. It has diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.
